We're back from a wonderful time celebrating Christmas in the Northwest! We such had a great time with family. There will be many memories to remember for a long time to come.
So spending Christmas in the Northwest requires getting there. And yes, we traveled via minivan again. The kids are becoming pros at road trips by now. And when spending hour upon hour in a confined space, they developed "favorites" in a variety of areas. So I am including a list of those, from this most recent trip.
Movie of choice: Santa Buddies (which barely squeaked past two others - Holes and Wall-E)
Game of choice: Hangman (both the magnetic variety and the "old fashioned" writing on paper way)
Snack of choice: Trail Mix
Restaurant of choice: McDonald's (although by the end of the trip, they were all getting tired of it! Ha!)
Traveling Toy of choice: Hamster of Happiness
Music of choice: Cherie Keaggy (we only had an "oldies" CD case with us, which was actually kind of fun to remember these older songs)
We were okay with all of their favorites, although after awhile, the "Hamster of Happiness" toy got a little old. (At least it entertained them for a long time!) Now next time we take a long road trip, I'm sure the kids will have a whole new list of "favorites". :)
