It Does a Heart Good

Today I received a phone call that made my heart (and face!) smile. I good friend had subbed at the kids' school - and just so happened to be a sub in both of the kids' classes! Last week she taught in Karis' Kindergarten class, and now today in the boys' First grade class. She called to let me know how wonderful all the kids had been -- a real pleasure to have in class. Wow - that means the world to a mom, as you aren't ever really sure just HOW the kids are doing in school around the other kids. So to know they made good choices, used manners, etc. makes me realize the things we continue to work and work on with them are actually, well, working! :) A parent needs those little "lights" every once in awhile, to encourage us to keep on keeping on.
