Kite Time!

For Karis' class Easter party at school, all the of the kids received a kite as a gift. Hers was Hello Kitty - definitely a favorite. :) The day of the party was actually a bit windy, so what fun to have her come home with this new kite, for me to assemble it and get it ready for her, so she could immediately go out and use it! Now, we do have a nice size yard with plenty of space to run, but we also have eight large trees. So we had to keep the kite reigned in a bit, as to avoid those pesky trees.

It's so nice that kids can enjoy some time outside with such an inexpensive, yet entertaining, toy. :)


Well, entertaining until this happens:

Yep, the string let out too much and the kite tail got stuck in one of our trees. Thankfully we were able to pull the kite itself free, but those pink tails still remain in our tree. We just have a pretty yard now. :)
