Eggs, Eggs and More Eggs

Yes, our kids are still very much into Easter Egg hunts come Easter time. Each year it seems we have more than enough events to attend. The pictures below are from last weekend when my MOMS group (twins club) had their annual Easter egg hunt. The kids always come home with just scads of candy. So with our town's festivities going on the following day, we actually decided to not attend that second egg hunt. We didn't tell the kids about it, so they were unaware that they were even missing anything. (Are we horrible, or what?!) Also knowing we have a hunt on Easter Sunday with our family, as well as care packages (aka candy galore!) from far away relatives, we knew they would be sufficiently "candied out" by that point.

For the first egg hunt, we met at a park. It was c-c-c-cold out, but not so cold that the kids couldn't enjoy themselves. We just got everyone bundled up with winter coats, hats and gloves - and they were off!

I just love this picture of the boys in total "search" mode. :)

Also this year, in addition to the eggs and Easter bunny and all, the kids have really been excited about the real Easter - drawing pictures of Jesus on the cross, asking questions, etc. It's great that our kids can enjoy the eggs and candy associated with Easter, but awesome that they are also are wrapping their heads around the true meaning of it. :)
