Our Sweet Karis
This is every parent's desire... to have your child's teacher tell you something kind your child did. Well, that's what happened when we went to meet with Karis' Kindergarten teacher this past week for the Parent/Teacher conferences. After our meeting was over and we were browsing around the room, the teacher made a comment that touched our hearts. She was talking about music - and that they have a regular music time in the classroom where the line leader gets to pick out the song for the day, then choose other classmates to come up and help with the motions. Well, as in every class, there are some kids who just aren't picked very often. Well, Karis' teacher said that when it's Karis' turn to pick the helpers, she has been picking the kids who haven't been chosen to help very much. She said Karis is very in-tune to seeing who has been picked and who hasn't - and will choose the "unlikeables". Is that not sweet, or what? As we teach our kids to think of others, we pray they will act upon that. So to hear of this from our dear Karis - we are grateful.
